Dekalb County law enforcement agents arrested a Flat Rock man on a burglary charge Monday, Dec. 5, after he was discovered inside a Henager residence.
Arrested, according to Dekalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris, was Mark Shane Tucker, 40, who was charged with burglary in the third degree.
According to a press release from Sheriff Harris, the DeKalb County Sheriffӽ紫ý Office received a call about a man prowling around a house and possibly in a garage at a residence on County Road 603 in the Henagar area. At 5:47 a.m., the DeKalb County Sheriffӽ紫ý Office received another call from a residence on County Road 603 about a man being in a garage. The owner of the residence approached the male subject and began to struggle with him when the male subject grabbed a gun and shot, a woman was grazed by the bullet but is ok. The subject then took off running through the woods where the DeKalb County Sheriffӽ紫ý Deputies, Ider Police ӽ紫ý, Geraldine Police ӽ紫ý, Henagar Police ӽ紫ý, DeKalb County Drug, Dade County Georgiaӽ紫ý K-9 Tracking dog and DeKalb County Major Crimes Unit and the DeKalb County Special Response Team started a search for the male subject, as stated in the release by Sheriff Harris.
At 8:15 a.m., a woman on Dekalb County Road 603 notified the officers that the subject was in her house. All officers and the DeKalb County Special Response Team surrounded the house and made entry. When they found Tucker Rock inside the residence he was in a bedroom naked and laying on the floor. Tucker was then arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd with more charges pending, the press release said.
