GAYLESVILLE - The Gaylesville Trojans swept a pair of home varsity basketball games against Georgia School for the Deaf on Thursday. The Lady Trojans earned a 69-40 victory, while the Trojan boys claimed a 72-46 win in the nightcap.
In the girls' game, Savannah Coker tallied 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Lady Trojans (6-16). Adriana Valencia and Madelyn Mitchell both added 11 points. Valencia also had nine boards, four assists and four steals. Mitchell also managed three boards and three assists.
Kambre Reed and Haley Bryson both finished with eight points. Reed also pulled down 12 rebounds and Bryson had six boards.
In the boys' game, Austin Stordahl topped the Trojans (9-13) with 18 points. He also had a pair of steals, a rebound and an assist. Landon Lawson added 14 points, 10 rebounds and a pair of steals.
Colby Scott contributed eight points, four boards and two blocked shots. Brayden Stordahl also had eight points to go along with three rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block. Austin Slayton finished with seven points, an assist and a block.
Both Gaylesville teams close out the regular season on Friday at Jacksonville Christian.
