* At 249 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lindale, or
near Rome, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Rome, Euharlee, Aragon, Kingston, Taylorsville, and Lindale.

...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of eastern Floyd,
southwestern Gordon, north central Polk and western Bartow Counties
through 315 PM EDT...

At 244 PM EDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from near Oostanaula to Pinson to near Rome, and moving
southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, frequent cloud to ground lightning and
heavy rain.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Rome, Calhoun, Adairsville, Euharlee, Kingston, Plainville, Shannon,
Seney, Pinson, Lindale, Oostanaula, and Folsom.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
