City of Calhoun puts pause on convenience store zoning applications

The City of Calhoun Council on July 7 voted to place a 180-day moratorium on new applications for convenience store zonings.

New zoning applications for convenience stores in the city limits will have to wait several months following a vote by the Calhoun City Council.

Monday night, council members voted unanimously to approve a resolution recommended by City Attorney George Govignon to place a temporary 180-day moratorium on accepting new applications.
