With advance voting wrapping up Friday, special primary election day for the Georgia Public Service Commission is set for Tuesday, June 17.
Early voting kicked off May 27, and ran through Friday, June 13, with exceptionally low turnout numbers, both locally and statewide.
The election aims to fill a pair of PSC seats, marking the first time since 2020 that seats from that board have appeared on statewide ballots. This comes after lawsuits challenged redistricting fairness.
If no candidate earns 50% of the total, statewide vote from the June 17 election, a runoff is scheduled for July 15.
Voters should visit their assigned polling place, with polls open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
