Full text of press release from Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk
A LaFayette High School vice principal is facing 10 counts of having child pornography on his computer and phone.
Ronnie Brent Massey, 49, of Ringgold, who is also an athletic coach at the school, was arrested Monday, June 2, under the “Internet Crimes Against Children Data System in reference to Child Sexual Abuse Material,†according to the Catoosa County SheriffÐÔÊӽ紫ý OfficeÐÔÊӽ紫ý report on the case.
The report also reads: “On June 2, 2025, at approximately 17:45 hours Major Keener, Detective Moody, and Detective Lyons went to [the suspectÐÔÊӽ紫ý address] and executed a search warrant (25-62) on the residence. Units made contact with the offender outside the residence and obtained his cell phone which had the same serial number as the phone listed on the search warrant.
“The offender admitted to owning the two … accounts that were reported through the cybertips and admitted to getting approximately 12 videos using [the app] that contained CSAM [Child Sexual Abuse Material].
“Units located several other cell phones, computers, and storage devices. All were collected as evidence…â€
The report went on to say that Massey was arrested, transported to the SheriffÐÔÊӽ紫ý Office, was willingly interviewed and was booked into detention.
Walker County Schools Superintendent Damon Raines issued this statement in response to a request for information about the school systemÐÔÊӽ紫ý response regarding this case:
“Walker County Schools has been notified that a district employee was recently arrested as part of a law enforcement investigation.
“Walker County Schools is fully cooperating with law enforcement and will continue to support their efforts as the investigation moves forward. The district is also taking appropriate personnel actions per our policies and procedures.
“As this is an active investigation, and to respect the process and the privacy of all involved, no additional details can be shared at this time.â€
