A series of storms, some bringing heavy rainfall, will be moving through Northwest Georgia starting this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. It'll ramp up Friday and through the weekend, with temperatures remaining in the high 80s.
Today: Cloudy and hot
Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mostly after 4 p.m. and overnight. Otherwise, it'll be mostly cloudy with a high around 89 and a low near 68 degrees
Friday: More rain on the way
We've got a chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms are likely any time after 11 a.m. and into the night. It'll be mostly cloudy with a high near 88 and a low around 70 degrees.
Saturday: It's looking pretty wet
There's an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Expect a high around 89 an a low around 70.
Sunday: Another soggy day
There's a 90% chance of showers and thunderstorm, with some of those storms dumping a lot of rain. The high will be around 87 and the low around 70.
The week ahead: Stormy
Monday: There's an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms, from the morning into the night. Expect a high near 87 and a low around 70.
Tuesday: Yep, you guessed it. More showers and thunderstorms. The high will be around 89 and the low will be around 71.
Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms are likely, but we'll also see some mostly sunny skies with a high near 91 degrees. The chance of rain drops to 70%.
