Northwest Georgians can expect rain showers and thunderstorms -- along with sunshine and hot temperatures -- for the next few days at least, according to the National Weather Service.
Today: Hot, with a chance of storms
Get ready for some sunshine, but keep an eye out after 2 p.m. because there's a 40% chance of pop-up showers and thunderstorms. It's gonna be a hot one, with highs near 90 degrees and a low. around 70,
Saturday: The rain dance continues
There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m. After that, it's likely. It'll be partly sunny with a high around 88 and the potential for gusty winds. Low around 69 degrees.Â
Sunday: Storms pretty much guaranteed
Get ready for showers and possibly a thunderstorm throughout the day. The high will be around 83 degrees, with an overnight low around 66 degrees.
Monday: Partly sunny but the rain's still here
There's a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms through 8 p.m., rising to 70% after that. It'll be partly sunny with a high near 87and an overnight low around 67.
Tuesday: Wet
Pop-up storms are possible throughout the day, and likely after 2 p.m. Expect partly sunny skies with a high near 84 and a low around 65.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, maybe rain
There's a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. You'll see some partly sunny skies with a high near 86 and a low around 65 degrees.
Thursday: Cloudy and very warm
Get ready for a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. It'll be mostly cloudy with a high near 88 degrees.
