The LaFayette Golf course will hold a benefit golf tournament for the Lori McWhorter Scholarship Fund on Saturday, July 19. beginning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
The tourney will be a four-person select shot format and will cost $75 per golfer or $300 per team. $5 mulligans will be available but are limited to four per team. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. McDonald's biscuits will be provided in the morning with Chick-Fil A catering the lunch. Total prizes will be based on the number of participants.
The tournament is in honor of Lori McWhorter, a LaFayette High educator who lost her life to an impaired driver. The same wreck also took the life of her mother, Delaine Crisp.
