From peaches to pigs to peanuts, Chef Scott Bailey and Sage Cottage invite you to celebrate the bounty of the Georgia summer with From Coast to Foothills, a 5-course tasting experience designed to showcase Chef Bailey's unique culinary perspective and his love of Georgia-grown ingredients.
Scott Bailey is a native to Floyd County. His father was an avid gardener who provided the family with fresh backyard-grown produce. Early on, he worked at Schroeder's and as a baker at Harvest Moon pre-Honeymoon days. He was involved heavily with the arts and music scene ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, not only as a musician/artist, but as proprietor of the all-ages music club, The Rabbit Hole, and co-founder of The Rome Unscene, a weekly A&E community print-newspaper.
In 2008, during the foodie-hype, he moved to Athens, Georgia, where he worked for James Beard Award-winner and Top Chef judge, Hugh Acheson. Becoming passionate about the farm-to-table movement, he went on to curate the Jackson Street Supper Club and Fork't Pop-up Dinners, as well as, cooking for Garden and Gun alongside chefs Anne Quatrano and Linton Hopkins. Now, living back in Floyd County, Chef Bailey wants to continue bringing his passion for creative cooking to those with adventurous palettes.
