As summer break continues, colleges and universities across the nation are still recognizing student accomplishments from the spring semester of the 2024-25 school year, including Rome natives.
From the PresidentÐÔÊӽ紫ý and DeanÐÔÊӽ紫ý Lists to the Honor Roll, these students were recognized for high academic achievements, having to score above a 3.5 grade point average in the spring semester to be placed on these lists.
At Georgia Southern University, 17 local students were placed on the DeanÐÔÊӽ紫ý List, and three were placed on the PresidentÐÔÊӽ紫ý List.
The students on the DeanÐÔÊӽ紫ý List are:

♦ Kaitlyn Montgomery of Rome.
♦ Neely Brownlow of Rome.
♦ William Dempsey of Armuchee.
♦ Kamen Brown of Rome.
♦ Carson Shell of Silver Creek.
♦ Eli Green of Rome.
♦ La’Shenia King of Silver Creek.
♦ Benjamin Sidwell of Rome.
♦ Grace Dorman of Rome.
♦ Emmelyn Harrison of Rome.
♦ Natasia Hall of Rome.
♦ Sophie Clowdus of Rome.
♦ Mary Wilson of Rome.
♦ Rosalind Pack of Rome.
♦ Ivy Whitaker of Rome.
♦ Mollie Sabourin of Rome.

At Valdosta State University, three Rome students were named to the DeanÐÔÊӽ紫ý List.
These students are:
♦ Erika Wall of Rome.
♦ Caitlyn O’Guin of Rome.
♦ Arthur Clarke of Rome.
In the state of Mississippi, students from both the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University were placed on high-achieving lists.
At the University of Mississippi, one local student was placed on the Honor Roll, Thomas Grigsby of Rome.
At Mississippi State University, two Rome students were placed on the PresidentÐÔÊӽ紫ý List, and three local students celebrated their graduation in May.
The students placed on the PresidentÐÔÊӽ紫ý List are Emma Day and Ashley King of Rome. The graduates are Emma Day, John Jacobson of Armuchee and Sara Norton of Lindale.
At Freed-Hardman University in Tennessee, Caleb Hammond, a student from Armuchee, was placed on the PresidentÐÔÊӽ紫ý List.
Just north of Tennessee in Kentucky, another Rome native, Aiden Amerman, was placed on the DeanÐÔÊӽ紫ý List.
At the University of Maryland, a local from Silver Creek, Keenan Garner, was placed on the DeanÐÔÊӽ紫ý List.
