The Georgia Chamber of Commerce named state Rep. Matthew Gambill, R-Cartersville, its 2025 Representative of the Year.
Gambill serves as floor leader for Gov. Brian Kemp and several pro-business bills he authored were signed into law, including the Top State for Talent Act and HB 475, which ensures the long-term stability of GeorgiaÐÔÊӽ紫ý film tax credit.
Gambill said he is honored by the recognition.
“Having a pro-business approach to legislation and supporting efforts to streamline our workforce development initiatives has been a passion of mine,†he said. “I look forward to continuing to work on these efforts.â€
Nancy Palmer, the chamberÐÔÊӽ紫ý senior vice president of public affairs, said the Georgia General Assembly passed a strong slate of pro-business legislation during the 2025 session.
“These bills are critical to ensure Georgia remains the No. 1 state in the country to do business, and Representative Matthew Gambill was instrumental to their passage,†Palmer said.
